I remember the fear when I heard the siren, the fear when the phone rang. I remember carefully looking at the faces of people talking to me. Were they bringing me bad news? Was the phone call bad news? Was the siren an emergency involving my son? The fear was constant, unrelenting, debilitating, and gripping…
